The activity begins by children going out in a nearby park or creek with water to forage for nature items such as sticks, rocks, pinecones, branches, the ground, roots and trees to make many different sounds.
If outdoor space is unavailable you can also carry a bucket of water and collect these items at home to engage with! 

 My aim of this activity is to listen to children as they create questions about different sounds, such as what makes sounds and what sounds is.  This also gives them the oppurtunity to connect to the sounds they are making to musical instruments and  introduce various rhythms, melodies, and tones and help children to discriminate differences in pitch, beat, and volume.

Here I can use a pre-recorded nature music to support and guide them or they can jam solo to their own beats that they create.
Here is the oppurtunity to guide and support the children as they create a movement to go with a sound, to decorate a song, or to express how they feel as they move from place to place. Invite children to create a story to their movement and move their bodies freely to the music.
I would also highly encourage  variation and experimentation. Ask children: "Can you move another way?" Encourage them to explore moving with just their arms, their feet, or their eyes. Ask to try the movement yourself, moving "their" way.

Here they combine what the have worked on - adding sound to their movement and performing it .  I provide the children with natural props (leaves, feathers etc) in the outdoor area related to those stories and songs – then see what they can create with them! Analyse what the children does with props and how the objects make them move. Ask them how they feel. Do they props help them in expressing the story better? Maybe its story of the critters in the leaves or the ants in the anthill.   I would encourage Imitative role-play where the child performs a make-believe role and acts it out through imitative bodily action and/or speech. Here Children become representers of their experiences, rather than just doers of activities. The understandings that they have built through exploratory play experiences are symbolized by things, actions, plots, and behaviors in their representational play.
Children are free to interact with their peer and educators to  participate in pretend play episode which furthermore includes
Verbal communication.
