The caravan is led by young and vigorous men, who are known to be capable of finding ways. Each man manages a sub-set of 100-300 sheep and goats, depending on the size and composition of the group. The Raikas are with their animals from the time they are born until they die – although with a lifespan of almost 50 years, an animal may well outlive its owner. Some of the Raikas even grow up surrounded by more animals than people.The Raikas are among the last people to shear designs on the camels' sides – this is possible only because of the deep trust between a herder and his animal. For an onlooker from outside the community, the animal may look like it is in pain during the shearing. But the Raikas are able to communicate with their camels with the slightest tilt of the head or hand, and thereby avoid inflicting cuts. Here, the pastoralists provided the farmer with premium fertiliser and fresh milk from the camel. Camels were declared state of animal in 2014.

3)Today, there is very difficult for Raikas to survive because they don’t get good hospitality (Welcome).

4)Jogaramji Raikas are the senior herder in Raikas community as well as their spiritual leaders.

Raikas live in the state of Rajasthan,a place that has the largest deserts in India. This tribe has always been living in complete unison and harmony with animals and it is almost like both of the together form a family.

Raikas are evidently recognised by the red turban that almost every camel Herder in the community wears. It is a huge piece of cloth tied together on the head to form a bundle and can accomodate smaller things. The clothes worn with that are the basic dhoti and kurta.

The Raikas in the Pali district of south−central Rajasthan of western India have been known as camel experts for centuries. They belong to a pastoral caste who keep large herds of female camels for supplying work camels to various clienteles.
Presently, the Raikas face complex problems which are undermining their subsistence base. At the root of their problems is the lack of grazing opportunities because of an expansion in crop cultivation due to increased irrigation, shortening of fallow, double
cropping, etc. But deterioration and alienation of communally owned pastures, and closure of some of their traditional pasture areas for wildlife preserves and reforestation, are also important causes.

Gaduliya Lohars are nomads that wander across the Thar desert in Rajasthan in carved wooden bullock carts.

 The Meos are the largest Muslim group in Rajasthan. There are around 1 million of them and they live principally in the Alwar, Bahrtatpur, Gurgaon and Haryana districts on the northeastern part of the state. They speak Rajasthani and known primarily as bangle sellers, dyers, butchers water carriers and musicians. [Source: Encyclopedia of World Cultures: South Asia, edited by Paul Hockings, C.K.  The Meos have traditionally blended Muslim and Rajput customs and many feel a closer affinity to the Rajputs than they do to Muslims. They often give there children Hindu names rather than Muslim ones, maintained Hindu festivals and ceremonies. Hindu temples outnumber mosques in the Meo homeland of Mewat. The main Islamic customs that are observed are circumcision and Muslim burials. Since 1947, a revival of Islamic traditions have forced the Meo follow traditional Muslim practices. Many emigrated to Pakistan. Still Rajput customs endure. Cousin marriages are still taboo and women are given more freedom than there traditional Muslim counterparts
