Last semester I asked for some additional resources which I could use to practice my grammar. I have used this website since then since it's full of useful exercises.

https://www.schubert-verlag.de/aufgaben/uebungen_a1/sa1_uebungen_index.htm

I try to do some once a week, if not every other week.

In additional to the useful website I was given, I also got some books on german grammar and german language in general. I have some that are instructive only and others that are also exercise based. These were given to me by my uncle who studied german when he was younger.

I generally use these when either studying for the german exam or simply studying german during the weekend.

I try to watch some movies or videos that I've already seen in english, and am quite familiar with, in german. This helps with my listening skills, as hearing fast-spoken german is one of the hardest parts of learning the language.

In terms of videos, I search youtube for any entertaining content in german, so that I can learn the vocab of things I'm interested in.

Another skill that I try to work on is reading comprehension. I try to get short excerpts from either a german newspaper or children's books online so that I can practice reading. This also helps with vocab, as I'm forced to either search for the meaning of any words I don't understand, or try to understand them based on the context.

I have made use of the additional resource links that is provided for us on Mole. Many of the links there have been useful, especially for certain grammatical issues that I was having trouble with.
One of these very useful links is: http://www.deutschakademie.de/online-deutschkurs/english/choosethemaref.php?tid=120
This link helped me with the Dative, which I realized I was not totally comfortable with yet this semester.

Another one is:http://www.deutschakademie.de/online-deutschkurs/english/choosethemaref.php?tid=16
Which helped me with the Accusative, since I have a habit of mixing up the Dative with the Accusative.

Since I have family members that speak german, we often try to speak or text in german so that I can practice speaking and writing german outside a classroom situation. It helps a lot with vocab since lots of the situations practiced during German class or lab, aren't the casual day to day conversation that one has with a friend or family member. Also, there is no set script, therefore I have to think on the spot about the question or comment that was directed at me.
