I have some that are instructive only and others that are also exercise based. These were given to me by my uncle who studied german when he was younger.

This helps with my listening skills, as hearing fast-spoken german is one of the hardest parts of learning the language.

I try to get short excerpts from either a german newspaper or children's books online so that I can practice reading. It helps a lot with vocab since lots of the situations practiced during German class or lab, aren't the casual day to day conversation that one has with a friend or family member.
