Twice a month for the next five months, students will take a math competition test. It's a fun, homework-free day that tests the students' powers of problem-solving. I challenge you to work out some of the problems that they bring home!

It's eye-opening for students to see the differences and similarities between the book and film versions of this title; after the movie, we'll discuss possible reasons for the differences the students spotted.

  • In November, we'll be engaging in the first of our ELA curriculum pilots, Benchmark. I'm looking forward to seeing the students' reactions to this new program!

    • Students will need a 1" - 1.5" binder (no larger, please). Also, students can never have enough pencils! : )
