3/15 | Has started to become more comfortable with us. Prayer is that God will soften his heart to His word, receive God's grace, and share in God's heart for the lost despite knowing that he's a sinner.

She's a PK, but she has doubts about Christianity, and is enticed by the lies of the world with regards to beauty, dating, social media. Please pray for God's word to pierce her heart and help her see her desperate need for repentance of sin and Lordship to Jesus. Also pray that she would find an inspiring group of Christian friends at school and desire to share her faith with her existing friend group.

Prayer Request: Answer to prayer! Jiho started coming back to church after the conflict with the other student. Pray for him to be eager to hear from God's word and that it would shape the way he views himself and the world and others. He feels almost like a bully (from what I hear) at his school and he picks on others, so pray for him to repent and that he could become a person who actually is a blessing to the other kids at his school.

Grace is a senior at Ridgefield Memorial HS and is currently waiting to hear back from colleges. She got accepted to Montclair and got deferred for Rutgers! She mentioned that all of her friends got accepted so she was kinda sad about that. Pray that she can hear back from Rutgers soon so that she can find a Christian community in college where she can continue to grow in her faith and that it doesn't die out. Grace is also a fan of Korean dramas. Please pray that she can focus on God's love rather than the love that is portrayed in the media. Encouraging: He has started to open up more about his life to us and he is more willing to struggle and communicate with us in smaller settings. He enjoyed our 1 on 1 Mark bible study for sunday service this past week.

Prayer: For him to be inspired by the life of Jesus as we go through Mark and for him to want to be like Jesus/make commitments as we go through it. Also pray for a new friend his age to come, he's the oldest one in our group and I can imagine it is a lonely tough transition as he just moved to the US a couple months ago. Pray for a friend that he can grow in his faith with and one day serve alongside.

Priscilla 12th isn't Christian and came to IH in the beginning, but has stopped. She is in 12th grade and has a BF. She has relationships with people at church, but her spiritual interest has been waning. Her dad said she started to get more encouraged after going to a large Taiwanese youth retreat in Brazil when he took her with him for a business trip, but she seems less engaged with less youth at church. Pray that she will regain spiritual hunger and seek God going into college.

One prayer request is for Jimin to see that there is a need to share God's heart with the people around her that are outside of her close circles of people. All of her friends at school are Christian and she sometimes keeps in contact with friends she made at retreats. This might be a barrier for her to share the gospel or share her faith. Pray that she learns more about God's heart for her and for His people, that she can grow in her ability to love others and pay attention to those around her. It also might be possible that the lives that she sees her Christian friends living is a stumbling block so I pray that she can be firm in her faith and remember what she learned this year so she can be the light in those friends' lives.

Expected to be confirmed/baptized in the coming weeks. Not sure of his spiritual condition. Please pray for a greater level of self-reflection so that he would know exactly where he stands spiritually, and a greater level of relational openness, so that we could work together with him and pour into his life more.

Pray that Aiden would see himself as an older brother in Christ whom the younger ones can look up too. Pray that he would take his faith to the next level by desiring to serve in his church as well as prioritize time with God through word and prayer. That he would not be jaded from his past or distracted by video games / media, but see more clearly the purpose and plan God has for him to be a witness to the gospel to his friends and family.

9th Grade - One encouraging thing about Irene is that she's pretty open when we're on a 1on1 setting (i.e. when I went to visit her during the week in Bergen). I had the chance to hear more about her background and her relationship with her brother. She also joined a Christian club, despite acknowledging that she herself is not a Christian. Although she doesn't articulate her questions, it seems like she's taking initiative to learn more in her own way by. being around other Christians at school.

Please pray that the students she meets in the Christian club will be a positive influence on her and that she'll grow in her identity as a Child of God.
