Not only was he the Chief of the Soviet Union, but he also devoted his life to have a peaceful coexistence between each side of The Berlin Wall. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Leonid Breznez was born December 19th 1906 in Kamenskoye, Ukraine and died on November 10th 1982. He was the Head of State for the Soviet Union. In his position he decided to devote his life to try and normalize The Berlin Wall's west side and use the Warsaw pact to take some tension off of the US.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Soviet Union is actually named Soviet Socialist Republics and they were a major successor to Russia because of their military support. A little fact about them however is that they took over about halve of Europe! This includes parts of Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Albania.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>They were able to take over because of their Warsaw pact with other countries. The Warsaw pact is a military agreement that includes several other European countries that became real 1955 in May. Another reason they were able to take over was their plans such as using tanks to terrorize villages they came across, campaigns, and with a little help from the Red Army they were able to break into radio stations to get a hold of the public through radio.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Soviet Union plays a very important role in European history because their past tells you how it effected today more easily. Also their past gives very detailed information about who was involved and how it lead to parts of Europe helping other countries. For example the Soviet Union helped out some countries by signing treaties with them to end wars and stop the damage it is causing the public and economy.</div>]]></description>

         <title>How did Soviet&#39;s reign end?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mikhail Gorbachev ( leader at time ) decided to let out Soviet yoke to Europe to gain Independence. Once it was released it caused the fall of The Berlin Wall. After it was out in the world Gorbachev faced policy pressures that weakened his position in Soviet. When it became clear to Soviet workers they decided to leave because they didn't like the weak leader. This lead to him deciding to sign a document that ended Soviet. The final flag waved 1992</div>]]></description>
