Questions to expand the conversation and allow the mentee to talk.
- How do you think that worked out?
- How do you think you could do it next time?

Open new teacher meeting with red, green and yellow conversation.
1. Green Light - Things going well
2. Yellow Light - Questions they have
3. Red Light - Things that are challenging
Ask them : Describe their week & recap their yellow and red areas, asking if they could redo those moments what what they change or do differently.
From that conversation, gather other areas that we need to address and base our next meetings around those topics

Chose the book
Divide Chapter or pages to read each week.
They fill out Exit Slip.
Discuss Chapter & Exit Slip the following week.
Do hands on based on book study

I create a themed doc each month with books, songs, crafts, snacks & lessons! For example, for February I shared ideas for Presidents’ Day, Valentine’s Day, the 100th day & Black History. In the following weeks I can ask if they used any of the resources & how it went. I also text photos of my class when we do an activity I shared with them during the month.
