Our RLS is about a scene in Jurassic World Movie(2015). The scene is about a man attempted to tame three dinosaurs using only his hand as sign language. As a result, the dinosaurs follow his command. We were curios to investigate what cause the behavior and skills of that man enabling him to tame the fierce dinosaurs. We also intended to investigate whether the behavior of the animals were caused by their emotion, where in the first place, does an animal have emotion?

Our RLS is about the use of baby flesh as one of the ingredients in making medicine in the form of capsules in China. Dead babies flesh or left-to-die babies were placed in drying microwaves to be pummeled into powder and then processed into capsules. This powder is said to be a stamina enhancer and other medical purposes. When the world knows about this issue, China officials were questioned and criticized for not taking action. But, they still remain in silence and unresponsive. This issue has intrigued us to investigate the reason behind one’s action or perception. Would their faith, in any religion, would play any role in making decision in the development of science and technology?

RLS: advancement in science rewrites the evolution process of crabs. The advancement in the technology nowadays let the scientist to acces a new approach of research. Hence the limitation from the previous research has been overcome due to these advancement. However, the new discovery has caused the previous historical claim to be overwriten.

Real Life Situation

Song and music is a worldwide entertainment accepted by many people. People listen to music all the time especially with the advancement in the technology industry. For some people, music has become parts of their life and they cannot live without it. But the dark side of the music begins to show up. Recent observation shows that inappropriate lyrics tend to lead to early teen sex. This unethical behavior portrayed in the songs lyric now followed by the teen as they see the behavior as something “cool” to be done. OUR RLS

The real-life situation that we have chosen is female genital mutilation (FGM). Even though FGM is banned in several country but they are still minority of people who have strong belief in their indigenous knowledge practicing FGM illegally. The practice of FGM is still continued despite a lot of empirical evidence can prove that FGM is harmful. Indigenous knowledge experts claim that FGM are important to protect virginity until marriage and remain faithful when they get married. However, there are numerous health risk in conducting FGM based on medical statistics.

Real Life Situation (RLS)

Robot revolution is unstoppable as many jobs required by humans' specialties being replaced by robots gradually through the early 21st century. Some people believe that humans can transcend their limitations with aid of machines. However, others think humans will eventually relinquish most of their abilities and passed down many roles to the system of artificial intelligence (AI). Humans have continuously redefined the intelligence and transferred many known tasks to machines. For example, a task of taking care of elders or sick ones is being tasked to empathetic robots, instead of humans with feelings. Even so, artificial intelligence is considered to be light years away behind the average 7-year-old in terms of common sense, vision, language and intuition about how the physical world works.

Main RLS: Double punishment for Algerian women with HIV: Like in many other conservative Muslim countries, in Algeria a woman with HIV is considered to have brought shame and dishonor on her family, regardless of her circumstances

The culture punishes and shames women with the disease because of their belief. Can it be justified?
