We discovered traditions about how certain dishes are eaten for example Marta taught me about paella, like how you're supposed to eat your portion like it's a slice of pizza and not steal someone else's meat or veggies. Thats good to know for when I go to Spain.

We also found out that we both eat fried snacks! Like, in the Netherlands, they have bitterballen, and in Spain, it's kind of like croquettes that you munch on with a drink.

Seeing Marta's and my dishes made us hungry, so now we're planning to cook each other's dishes someday soon. I can't wait to try out!

Angela and I did the task with frameVR where we shared dishes from our own culture to combine them to a shared menu. Our uploaded pictures did not work anymore when we met with the glasses, so we explained how the food looks and tastes like. We talked about a lot of different types of food: breakfast, lunch, diner; but also times when you eat food and how long you sit at the table. A lot of differences, but the one thing that was common for the both of us where 'kroketten' or 'croquettes'. I would say Spanish croquettes are more like dutch bitterballen, because they are smaller. Angela was also a fan of 'appelflappen' because she already ate them once. For our menu we did not have much time left, so we just talked about what we wanted to eat from each other's dishes and when (breakfast, lunch or diner :)
