I'm a 36 year old white American. I used to work as a carpenter but then drafted to the war. I employed many African Americans due to many of them moving north for better jobs (Great Migration). I was a victim of the draft causing me to leave my work and family for the war.(Selective Service act). I supported factories building many materials for the war. (Propaganda) When I got onto the front lines I was very surprised and frightened because there was no restrictions on weapons (Total War). When I first got there things were very hectic because the army and the navy were trying to buy weapons but an industry board was created to help us get the guns we needed to defend our country (War Industries Board) Thanks to tax set on people from the government we get the supplies we need (War Bonds). My cousin was arrested and sentenced to jail for verbally supporting germany and its allies (Espionage and Sedition Act) He soon tried to get out of jail but was sent back because the enforcement of the espionage act (Schenck v.
