When this internet feud became a real life confrontation, Cody reacted in a calm way, causing people to automatically take his side understanding that what Jake did wasn't thought through and an had no real purpose other than content for his channel. When the confrontation was uploaded to youtube, technology spread the video making more people aware of the "beef' and both creators getting views.
