In the story the emotional story between the characters is friendship. I think this because they had built up a community or a friendship throughout the entire on the raft. In the exposition of the story they were a bit unsure although I wood say throughout the entire story they do build up the emotional setting of friendship. There all some other traits during the time. Such as when huck makes a joke with Jim and Jim wasn't happy, but then they made it up to each other. This part of the story shows a example of there friendship, and also how they made it up to each other.

In both the text and in the musical they both have a theme that relates. Although there them relates it is expressed or shown in different ways in the story. In the story I think the theme is “friendship can go through anything if you stay strong”. I think a good motif that relates to theme is loyalty, and most obviously friendship.

Similarities
In the story and the play the themes are mostly the same. I think they are the same because they both have the two same characters that build a strong friendship togeather. For example they both help eachother with their problems, and then they both end up getting the goal of where they wanted to end up or succeed too. Another way the theme is similar in the story is in the climax of the story and the play. I think this is a important part of the story because this is when they are sperated. Even though we might have thought that there friendship was being broker it really wasn’t. Although they ended up away from each other because Jim had been sold they ended up finding there way back.

Introduction and Huck

In the story there is a few main characters, some of the main characters are huck, and Jim. These are the characters I will mostly be going over. In the story huck is a very strong, and mainly brave character. I think these are good words to explain Huck in the story. For brave I think this is a good word because huck goes through many hard times where he still makes it through. For example in the story he escapes from his alcoholic and abusive Dad, he made it through it and found a way to be happy. When I say huck is strong I don’t mean physically but I mean mentally. I think this because he doesn’t give up through everything he goes through. I know some people if they were going through times like huck during the book and the play they wouldn’t know what to do and might not even want to be alive anymore. But huck never thought of it that way and was always positive about it of how he could make his life better, or how he could fix the situation with his Dad by running away.

In the story Jim is also a important character. He is also brave along with huck because he was a slave. Even in general he might have even been more brave then huck, I say this because Jim ran away because his slave owner was going to sell him/Jim. Jim And Huck also relate a lot. They both go through a hard journey, and it was together. They also both get through life threatening problems and get passed them and get through them togeather.
