First of all, it is quite reasonable for me to believe that activism is a practice to develop an understanding of the other person, and it's not only in political movements, but also in our own communities and daily lives. For instance, I got involved with a group and maked donations on that group which is actually an internet chat group made by volunteers that focuses on eliminating the negative stereotypes of mental health that surround it. Stressed people can share their stories, and volunteers can share ways to relieve stress and provide the map of authoritative hospitals and docters. To some extent, telling your own story can eliminate that sense of shame and stress, and people do need a place to voice their experience to release emotion. Furthermore, it has been an eye-opening experience to hear people's stories and share my own. I've learned a lot knowledge about neuro diversity and how to help them.

  Moreover, activism has the power to unite people from different backgrounds and experiences towards a common goal. Therefore, that is why activism is essential for creating a more egalitarian society. Because it requires people's actions and propaganda to arouse the public's attention to social practice and overcome difficulties together.

  Overall, due to the aforementioned reasons, activism has been a critical part of social movements and will continue to be influential in shaping our future. Through activism, we can create a more inclusive society for ourselves and future generations.

 

   Unfortunately, I failed to effectively use the CRAAP Test to evaluate some of my sources.  I found myself struggling to apply the criteria to certain sources. For example, I filled in too much information that I couldn’t confirm immediately whether these articles are academic or not, and there are very similar contents filled in between two different forms, and I ended up feeling uncertain about whether they were reliable. Due to reflection, I realized that this was because I didn't have a clear understanding of the meaning of each word in CRAAP, and how to apply them clearly. Nevertheless, some of the sources I had found lacked clear information, making it difficult to evaluate them using the CRAAP Test. Moreover, some links of the articles’ reference failed, so I always feel uncertain about whether it should be trusted.

 

  Due to aforementioned experience, I've learned that it's essential to have a clear understanding of the criteria before applying them to sources. I also realized that it's important to carefully select sources that provide clear and reliable information, as it will make it easier to apply the CRAAP Test.

  In the future, I will make sure to spend enough time familiarizing myself with the criteria and carefully select sources that are more likely to meet those criteria. By doing this, I believe that I will test more to promote the skills of searching and identifying information.

  One of the challenges I encountered was using too many personal languages in my essay. Instead of presenting objective information, I realize that I am always write “in my opinion”, which is not academic at all. This view is more inclined communication, and the wording should be more objective, and the writing of the paper should be the fact instead of opinion. This hindered the credibility of my arguments and weakened the overall structure of the essay. To overcome this, I need to correct the wording of the article as “this paper will”.

 

  Another issue I faced was using unclear phrases. I aimed to make my writing sound academic but ended up with unclear sentences. This made it difficult for the reader to understand. To overcome this, I need to focus on using simple and concise language, and do not use vague language, ensuring that my essay are effectively communicated.Upon reflecting on these challenges, I have realized the importance of analysis and comparison in essay writing. In this week’s research on Little Sun and calligraffiti, I found that I just analysed the works of these two activist projects without comparing them even though they all have the same aim. This helps to present a well-organized and coherent essay.

 

  In conclusion, this week's experience has highlighted my shortcomings in writing English essays. I need to be more objective, avoid personal biases, simplify my language, and enhance critical evaluation skills. By addressing these areas of improvement and practicing consistently, I am confident that I will gradually enhance my ability to produce well-written English essays.
