Here I am (on the right), at age 13 with my cousin Gabby who was 12 at the time. We were at our other cousins graduation party in this picture and took advantage of the photo booth. During my adolescent years, we were inseparable! We loved playing with barbies, doing makeup, and taking pictures. Relating my experiences to our readings, I remember feeling like she was the only person I could still 'be a kid' with. My other friends no longer played with dolls so I would do it in secret with my cousin. The guilt I would feel after having a fun day with my cousin was horrible. I definitely felt the struggle between wanting to be an adult, while also wanting to be a kid.
