A specialty of Lucita Preschool is that children are always told bilingual stories in both English and Vietnamese. Through repetition, the story gradually penetrates into young minds naturally. They immerse themselves in the story, become a part of it, and feel the subtleties. One story a week, the children remember the content and plot very quickly, and can help teacher Tomas follow the story.

This week, with the topic of animals, Mr. Tomas reviewed vocabulary about alphabet through ABC songs and organized games to reinforce the lesson. The children happily and actively participated in the game and spoke vocabulary through visual aids.

This week, the little chefs of the Tulip class were assigned the task of cutting watermelon for the year end party. Children developed manual dexterity and aesthetics in decoration. The children personally carried the watermelon plate to the first floor and presented it to the classes' trays.

In the English lessons, besides some activities like sitting in a circle, singing songs about the seasons and changed continuously so that children feel new, excited and more positive. This week, the children and teacher Tomas had many great activities about math and letters, learning how to weigh and measure weight, learning about the sinking and floating of objects under the sea, molding beeswax, moving colors freely.

This week, the children and teacher James organized a play of the story "Three little pigs". The children and teachers recreated the play through the expression of personality and words of the Tulip class's child characters. The children remembered the content of the story, were excited when assigned roles, and performed their tasks well.

In a joyful and bustling atmosphere to welcome the new year, this week Lucita children participated in a series of extremely meaningful Tet activities such as: performing arts to welcome the new year, experiencing the package Banh chung with grandparents and parents, folk games, making jam, rolling spring rolls, learning about Lunar New Year customs through washing hands with old coriander leaves, setting out five-fruit trays, and visiting homes to wish for the New Year. And especially in the afternoon, they all sat together watching the pot of boiled banh chung and talking together about Tet.

Regular medical check-up for children are extremely necessary and meaningful and contribute significantly to raising awareness to prevent some common diseases in preschool age. The school has maintained and carried out regular health checks for children as planned during the school year. This week, 100% of children have been took a periodic health examinations and the results will be sent to the school next week so that parents can clearly understand the children's development.

The year-end party is maintained by Lucita every year so that children can access national culture and the wonderful spiritual values ​​that traditional festivals bring. The children can join hands to set up and enjoy year end party with dishes: chung cake, gio xao, bamboo shoot soup, boiled chicken, salad, boiled vegetable and dessert: watermelon, coconut jam, gac cake. The meal is cozy and has a strong Tet flavor.
