         <description><![CDATA[<p>🪽Zakat and Ṣadaqah</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Basic Concept</p><p>	•	Zakat is given according to a fixed amount set by Islam.</p><p>	•	Ṣadaqah is given according to one’s sincerity and willingness.</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Role of Zakat in Society</p><p>	•	Zakat strengthens our relationship with others, especially within the Muslim community.</p><p>	•	It builds social unity (ukhuwwah) and care for those in need.</p><p><br/></p><p>🪽Meaning of Zakat</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Linguistically:</p><p>	•	Zakat means purification, growth, and blessing.</p><p>	•	It brings barakah (blessings) to our wealth and sustenance.</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Terminologically:</p><p>	•	Zakat is a specific portion of wealth prescribed by Allah</p><p>	•	It must be given to eligible recipients (asnāf).</p><p>Purpose of Zakat</p><p>	•	Zakat shows that Islam is not only about spirituality, but also about social responsibility.</p><p>	•	It reflects concern for others and encourages helping people in hardship,</p><p>even if we do not know them personally.</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Difference Between Zakat and Modern Tax Systems</p><p>	•	Tax is more worldly and administrative in nature.</p><p>	•	Zakat focuses on spiritual purification and religious responsibility as a Muslim.</p><p>	•	The goal of zakat is to help those in need.</p><p>	•	Tax is paid because it is required by the government,</p><p>whereas zakat is paid out of obedience to Allah.</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Importance of Zakat</p><p>	•	Zakat is very important for every Muslim.</p><p>	•	In the Qur’an, zakat is often mentioned in the form of charity (ṣadaqah).</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Difference Between Zakat and Ṣadaqah</p><p>	•	Zakat is an obligatory act of worship, formal and structured.</p><p>	•	Allah has clearly specified how zakat is calculated, paid, and distributed.</p><p>	•	Ṣadaqah is voluntary and not fixed in amount.</p><p>Types of Zakat</p><p>	•	Zakat al-Fiṭr</p><p>	•	Obligatory for every Muslim</p><p>	•	Paid during the month of Ramadan</p><p>	•	Zakat al-Māl</p><p>	•	Paid on wealth that meets certain conditions</p><p>	•	Obligatory, but sometimes mistaken as optional</p><p><br/></p><p>🫧Benefits of Zakat</p><p>	•	Strengthens brotherhood (ukhuwwah)</p><p>	•	Increases tawakkul (trust in Allah)</p><p>Tawakkul</p><p>	•	Tawakkul means complete reliance and surrender to Allah.</p><p>	•	It is a characteristic of true believers.</p><p>Relationship Between Zakat and Tawakkul</p><p>	•	When a person fulfils zakat,</p><p>they demonstrate trust in Allah,</p><p>believing that Allah will replace and bless their wealth.</p><p>	•	Paying zakat purifies the heart from greed</p><p>and strengthens faith in Allah’s provision.</p>]]></description>
