I predict that Maniac Magee will eventually come back to his old family. I think this because Maniac has no where else to go right now for food and shelter. I also think this because he loved that family so much and he would do anything to see them again. So I think he is going to run right back to their house again. I also thought this because in the text he talks that family so fondly and he thinks of them in the highest of ways. So based on the characters thoughts and actions I predict that Magee will go right back to his families home. And especially since he needs the shelter and food with the winter coming up which leaves him no choice to find a home. And I predict that home will be his old families home.

In the book Maniac Magee I found an again and again. The again and again that I found is Magee runs from his problems in life. It all started  when his parents died he just ran away from the town and his problem. Then people saying he didn't belong, ran away from that. And now his friend died so now he is running away from that. As you can see there is a clear pattern in how he just runs away from every big problem he has in his life. This keeps showing up again and again because Maniac doesn't like to stop and see how things pan out. And he doesn't like confronting any of his problems. I predict that the zoo janitor will take Maniac off the street maybe give him some clothes and invite him to live with him. I think this because when the janitor first saw Maniac he was instantly worried for him. He rushed to see if he was hungry or needed anything. So using his thoughts of thinking "is he alright" and  "how can I help him." So as concerned as he was for Magee. I predict he will bring him back to his house. And maybe even take him in for a while. Plus, any kind person would do that for a child in need of shelter, food, and clothing. A girl by the name of Gitanjali Rao decides to fix the lead water problem both for around her area and in Flint Michigan. She does this with the help of a 3d printer and some teachers. Gitanjali then enters a competition for young scientists and wins 25,000 dollars. She decides to put it towards improving her invention.

"Gitanjali received a check for 25,000 dollars." This was a number and stats that I found. The author used these numbers and amounts to show that first off she won. This also shows that her invention was so good that it was worth winning 25,000 dollars. This shows just how good the invention was so that's why the author put in that number or amount.
