She cannot leave him because it is against Muslim religion and she will get hurt if she does. The struggles she goes through is so heartbreaking but she is resilient and overcomes them at the end. I relate very strongly to Rupi and the things she went through which is why I love this book. It contains some intense topics about sexual assault, relationship struggles, love, and breakups. It showed the mental and physical these animals experience in captivity and how the babies are separated from the moms. This film was extremely sad but exposed a huge industry that needs more regulation.
