1. The reflector uses the light from the sun to reflect that sunlight back onto the subject. There are gold, silver, and white sides of the reflector. The gold side is sued to give off more of a warm toned light while the silver gives off cooler toned lights. You use it by positioning it with the color you want to use facing towards the sun and subject. Adjust/move the reflector around so that you position the light where you want on the subject.

2. I think that in my case, the reflector helped my portraits outside. I think this because in many of the portraits, we used the gold side of the reflector and it warmed up the subject skin tone and really made their eyes and skin glow and stand out. Also, it took away some existing shadows that were on the subject by providing more light onto them.

3. I think that the studio lighting was great. It made the photos really clear and professional looking. I think the studio lighting is good because the weather outside does not have any affect. However, I think that natural light from outside did just as good. As far as the backgrounds go, I think that they make the photos look very professional.

4. My favorite shots were of the natural light. These were my favorite shots because they look very natural and they really flatter the subject.

5. My favorite photo of the 8 is the one of Jasmine standing in front of the green leaves. I like this photo the best because the sunlight from the reflector is reflecting off her face and it really flatters her.

6. With this project. I think I learned most about lighting with portrait photography and how to use the light to my advantage. I think this will affect my future photos that I take of people because I will know how to better use the sunlight to make the picture and subject the best that it could be.
