         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Spain celebrates with processions through their streets<br>2. A popular sugary treat at this time of year are torrijas, a sweet snack of bread soaked in milk and egg, that is then fried and served with sugar or honey.<br>3. Andalucia is the most famous Spanish region for Easter celebrations. It’s 52 different religious brotherhoods parade through the streets during the whole week of Holy Week<br>4.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. On Good Friday, the participants dress in black. A float with a sculpture of Jesus carrying the crucifix leads crowds of mourners who pray silently and offer penance. <br>2.Monday through Thursday, similar processions parade through the streets in memory of Jesus’ final days. Devoted <em>curcuruchas</em> carry floats for a block, and then new carriers step in to carry them on to the next block.<br>3.Holy Saturday’s processions are dedicated to images of the Virgin Mary of Sorrow. Women dress in their finest outfits and often wear high heels. Young children walk under the <em>anda</em> while their mothers shoulder the immense float.  <br>4.Easter Sunday is a day of rejoicing the resurrection of Christ.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1.With Colombia being a primarily Catholic country, Semana Santa or Easter Week, is very important.<br>2.. People from Colombia and all over the world congregate in Popayan to see the change from a quiet, local town to one full of life and celebration.   <br>3.During these processions, religious images from many other catholic countries are arranged onto wooden platforms being carried on the shoulders of cargueros.<br>4.Each performance in the procession is called a paso and these travel through the streets of Popayan in the shape of a cross, passing by all the main churches and religious buildings.<br>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fb70GB9Xu-Y</div>]]></description>
