Spring break presented me with the opportunity to accomplish many of the short-term goals I set for myself. I was able to complete a few of my home improvement projects (i.e. gardening, setting up outdoor furniture in preparation for the much anticipated warm weather, rearrange my clothes/closet, power wash the outside of my home, etc.) I appreciated the time off to focus on constructive chores and activities that help keep my mind busy. Although, I had to cancel my spring break vacation to Jamaica, I tried to make the best of the situation by redirecting my attention by keeping up the maintenance of my home and spending some much needed quality time with my mother. Spring break also gave me the opportunity to catch up on my most favorite hobbies in the world--reading and writing. I've taken the time to enroll in an online history and political philosophy course offered by Harvard University to continue to expand my reading and writing skills. Spring break was definitely short, but it allowed me to be more proactive in establishing short-term goals and accomplishing them within a fixed term.
