A year of pandemic leaves a lot to tell and future generations will probably not believe the impact and pain caused to families who lost one, two or more loved ones; doctors who peeled off their skin to save their patients and were still mistreated from the start. You just have to remember that they did not have gowns or masks or gloves in the first stage; that they delayed the decision to hire them, not once but twice; and that their scientific voice was also not heard, especially when they warned of the arrival of the second wave.

On March 10, 2020, the coronavirus arrived in Bolivia. Three months have passed since its irruption in China and then the impact was seen here, the health precariousness, the absence of human and material resources in hospitals. In Bolivia, 254,736 infections and 11,842 deaths have been registered. That is what is reported, but it is also known that there was and is underreporting, in principle, due to the lack of capacity to carry out tests according to demand and because many families chose to treat themselves at home without disclosing their health status.

In times of pandemic, the harsh reality was seen in the inhabitants of Boliva, they saw how our people suffered from hunger and lack of hospital care and in the Government of Evo Morales or improvisation and deficiencies in education not only during the Government of Jeanine Áñez but also in that of Luis Arce.

And quite apart from politics it was not such a bad year, in all that time of the pandemic it was possible to see that the Bolivian people are bigger than their authorities, Bolivians activated various solidarity networks.

Two years have passed and we continue with the vaccines and the political fights, to remember is to live! It was two years of a lot of fighting and many deaths... but now we are improving with the vaccines and time will pass and this will remain in history.
