There is no exact reason why teens do it but some things that can influence them is peer pressure, social media, them not feeling happy enough, boredom, they want to be rebellious, lack of confidence. The kids can inherit the genes of their parents. If the teen has lost a loved one, they most likely will turn to alcohol. Not only that but if the parent is abusive the only thing they can turn to is alcohol.
