 | Travel Tips | Trying to bargain. Bargain is not as common in Turkey as some tourists seem to think. It's true you can try it at the Grand Bazaar and when you're buying something on the street, but at the brand stores or restaurants there is no such practice. Tipping. We tip in Turkey at hotels and restaurants and not use coins when we tip. Some tourists don't tip at all, some just give 2-3TL in coins. 2 Turkish lira is around 1 American dollar. If you don't have money to tip it's okay but it would be kind to apologize.
