Shooting with intent could mean shooting a specific subject in a certain way. It could be the way you shoot (how you expose), creating a negative or raw file that works well in your workflow. It could be choosing a specific time of day to capture a desired light. I think it just means to shoot with a desired outcome.

To capture the photo in your mind, then try to replicate the photo with the camera. Ask yourself, "why is this photo worthy?"
