Let me introduce you to my family! My husband's name is Austin. We are high school sweethearts and have been married for 8 years. We love watching sports together, hanging out with our extended family, and going to the lake in the summer. We have a 7-year-old son, Asa, who loves playing video games (mostly Minecraft and Fortnite), Sonic, King Kong, and Godzilla. Our youngest, Hartlee, is three-years-old. She loves all things girly, pink, sparkly, and anything to do with princesses.

Meet Theo! He is our 1.5-year-old yellow lab. He is incredibly loving, goofy, protective, and clumsy. He loves ice from the fridge, swimming at the lake, and his BarkBox toys.

I am excited to begin my DNP journey in a time where nursing informatics is changing and helping with patient care everyday. From EHRs with the ability to communicate with patients quicker to using apps like Epocrates. My area of interest in research include long-term diabetes treatment and the prevention of macrovascular complications, improving the transition from nursing student to new-grad RN, more efficient dementia testing, discrepancies between genders when diagnosing and prescribing medications for anxiety
