Children's education is expensive. In some countries, the government pays some of or all of the cost. Do the advantages outweigh its disadvantages.

In this day and age, it is crystal clear that nations have noticed paying full or partial high tuition fees for children. Although this main tendency is not without downsides, it can still be outnumbered by the advantages.
Everything has two sides and this trend is not an exception.
On the one hand, the first and foremost benefit is that educators efficiently help children boost their soft skills which can be seen as prerequisites for their road to success in a highly competitive job market. Specifically, with all the essential learning tools in well-funded schools, teachers and students are empowered to have the autonomy to showcase their creativity as well as soft skills at their finest. The second merit that could be seen is to enhance the sense of equality which leads to narrowing the wealth gap in society. This means that students who come from unfavorable financial backgrounds are more likely to ease the feeling of inferior complexity. Thereby, they are better equipped on both physical and mental sides and then become the key factor in the national development.
On the other hand, if state investment in education is ever-increasing and then places the country's financial burden, nations will inevitably impose high taxes. Consequently, childless people feel unfair, get frustrated and social discontent seems to happen. Another negative thing is that the delivery of the total national budget among key industries will be unbalanced. For instance, healthcare services and elderly welfare might not be given adequate attention.

That said, although the disadvantages of tuition support still exist, it is overshadowed by the merits.
