Improvements that could be made to some of the examples provided in Lesson 1 are providing more context clues for the missing words or different variations of the passage. There could be a word bank associated with the blanks in the paragraphs or three word choices for the students to choose from.

Questions:
1. Cloze reading passages helps students to use reading strategies such as decoding and context clues. Using these skills while reading will aide in students reading comprehension skills.
3. Cloze reading passages can be differentiated according to students' instructional and independent reading levels.
