Teachermatic vs 5min AI Leila

I used Teachermatic and 5min AI to generate lesson plans. I found Teachermatic to be a very user friendly platform that was easy to edit and manipulate to suit my personal needs. I found the 5min AI tool to be a little too concise. It’s fine for an overall plan but hard to use for more detailed plans.

I preferred a 5-minute lesson plan and Magic School. The 5-minute lesson plan divided the plan into subcategories that could help me with classroom management and differentiation, and it provided me with the resources I needed to implement. Magic School gave me the standards, and within 5 minutes, it implemented various activities for differentiation. Magic School, presented different assessments and it provided different practices whether guided or independent.

I will definitely use 5 minutes website as it is

· User-Friendly Interface: The site is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, allowing teachers to quickly create and organize their lesson plans.

· Time Efficiency: As the name suggests, it helps you create effective lesson plans in just five minutes, saving valuable time for other teaching tasks.

· Clear Structure: It provides a straightforward template that ensures all essential elements of a lesson plan are covered without unnecessary complexity.

· Focus on Key Components: The plan focuses on key components such as lesson objectives, activities, assessments, and differentiation, helping to ensure that each lesson is well-rounded and impactful.

· Encourages Reflection: It prompts teachers to reflect on their lesson's success and areas for improvement, fostering continuous professional development.

I will not use taskade

· Complexity: Taskade's extensive features and customization options can be overwhelming, especially for those who prefer a simpler, more streamlined approach.

· Learning Curve: The platform may require a significant amount of time to learn and master, which can be a drawback for teachers with tight schedules.

· Distractions: The broad range of functionalities might lead to distractions and time spent on non-essential features rather than focusing on the core task of lesson planning.

· Collaboration Challenges: While Taskade offers collaboration features, they might not be as straightforward or seamless as needed for quick and effective teamwork on lesson plans.

It looks organized and colorful and helps me keep track of my actual lesson.

I could not open the second one, I do not know why, and I cannot remember which website created that, it was either taskade or magic school.

The third one (either taskade or magicschool :)) is not well exported. I remember I copied the link and shared it, but it appeared as notes. It is not organized, and will need formatting to be helpful, unless I did something wrong

The main issue we struggle with is trusting students at home to write their own work. Whether it's fictional or nonfictional, they can use AI to submit work that is not their own. This kind of deceptive behaviour does not foster the trust between students and teachers. We teach them to take responsibility for their work and for their actions.

One of the ethical dilemmas of using AI in education is when students use AI in writing their research papers or making a project. If not well supervised, students will lose imagination and their mental skills will not develop properly.

Yet, we cannot omit AI presence, so I usually have students present their work, discuss it openly with their colleagues. They already know that they will be questioned so that they go through their work before they present it and this makes me reach my goal by making them learn.
