Source B and C are similar in terms of the treatment towards Trotsky.Source B says that Trotsky was betrayed by the Central Committee. This evident from Source " In your speech at the meeting of the Central committee, you speak of the fictitious illness of my husband." , " On what grounds and by what right do you have to inform the party, the workers and the whole world that the reports of Trotsky's illness are false." This shows that the Central committee members were betraying Trotsky by telling everyone that Trotsky was not ill and was trying to fake his illness to skip the meetings. Therefhonh
\ore, the central committee betrayed Trotsky by telling everyone that Trotsky faked his illnesses to skip meetings which made Trotsky appeared more weak and hopefully remove him from power.
Similary from Source C, Source C also says that the Soviet government is betraying Trotsky. This is evident from Source C where it shows the original photo and the photo that was published in the Soviet papers. This shows that the Soviet government removed Trotsky presence on Soviet papers which means that photos that were taken during important events and have Trotsky presence, removed Trotsky from the picture. The Soviet government wanted to portray Trotsky as someone who do not attend important Soviet events and thus was not a good leader or member of the Central Committee. Therefore, the soviet government wanted to show the Soviet people that Trotsky was not a reliable leader and a traitor as he did not attend important Soviet events.

Sources B and C are similar about the treatment of Trotsky because of the attempts to remove him from power (WHY WAS HE TREATED IN THIS MANNER? WHAT DID HIS ACTIONS SHOW HIM TO BE? WHAT KIND OF PERSON DID THE OTHERS SEE HIM THAT MADE THEM WANT TO REMOVE HIM?) and to throw him into obscurity. I can infer from source B that Trotsky was betrayed by the Central Committee in an attempt to remove him from power through misinforming the party of his reason of absence. The rest of the party had been told that Trotsky was absent due to faking his illness to make him seem unreliable and NOT credible (GOOD REASON GIVEN HERE) to the rest of the party. This is evident from "On what grounds and by what right do you have to inform the party, the workers and the whole world that the reports of Trotsky's illness are false." This shows that the party had betrayed him in wrongly portraying his reason of being absent from the committee to tarnish his reputation and to remove and exclude him from the party. This is in spite of Trotsky actually being too sick to attend the meetings. Similarly, in source C, I can infer that Trotsky's reputation was tarnished by the Soviet government by removing him from images of important events. By removing his image from soviet media, the public and communist party members perceive Trotsky in a negative light and make him seem incapable of being a strong leader. This is evident from the source, where Trotsky was removed from a picture standing next to Lenin. This shows that the Soviet media removed Trotsky from pictures of Lenin to make sure that he was not seen together with him because that would mean that Trotsky would be seen as a viable successor to Lenin.

Thus, Source C tells me that the treatment of Lenin is similar to source B as both sources show that Trotsky had been repeatedly shunned, had his reputation tarnished and thrown into obscurity in an attempt to remove him from power as a threat to the other members.

Source B and C are similar in terms of how Trotsky was treated. I can infer from Source B that Trotsky was being mistreated and given an unfair treatment in the Central Committee. The evidence is "Referring to the anxiety and protests of many comrades you exclaim indignantly: 'Trotsky feigned illness so as not to appear at the meetings!' " and "The archives of the Central Committee contain reports by out best physicians on the state of Trotsky's health." This shows that Trotsky's reputation was destroyed while he was sick. "feigned illness" shows that the members do not trust that he was ill and deemed him as someone who is inefficient and always unconcerned about the Central Committee. Thus this shows that Trotsky's reputation was tarnished and was mistreated by the Central committee members even though he was really ill.
I can infer from Source C that Trotsky was deemed insignificant and not recognised by the citizens. The evidence is from the two picture source in Source C. The picture on the left shows Trotsky and Lenin standing side by side and the picture on the right shows Trotsky being cropped out from the picture and Lenin was left alone there. This shows that Trotsky was deemed invisible and not important to be shown in the Soviet papers. According to my contextual knowledge, Trotsky was being cropped out from all the pictures he took with Lenin, to show that he was not close to Lenin. This prevent the rise in Trotsky as a Soviet leader. Hence, this shows that Trotsky's presence was not important and not well liked by the Soviets.

Both sources are similar as both state that Trotsky was not well liked in the party. Source B states that the party was trying to destroy the image of Trotsky. This is supported by."you speak of the fictitious illness of my husband... 'Trotsky feigned illness so as not to appear at the meetings.' ...inform the party...reports of Trotsky's illness are false" This shows that the party spread false information about Trotsky as the information given out by the party was deemed false by Trotsky's wife. As a person close to him, Mrs Trotsky would know his condition the best. According to my contextual knowledge, Trotsky was unpopular in the party itself therefore the people in the party would want to spoil his reputation. Source C shows that Trotsky was not well liked by the Stalin. This is evident from Trotsky being edited out of the picture and the edited picture was published in Stalin's rule. This shows that Stalin did not want the soviet union to perceive Trotsky as Lenin's right hand man. By removing him out of the picture, the soviet union would not think that Trotsky was close to Lenin, thus not supporting Trotsky. According to my contextual knowledge, Stalin did not like Trotsky as Trotsky was deemed too powerful and that he had the greatest chance of succeeding Lenin. Thus Stalin would want to edit him out, to give the soviets the impression he was not close to Lenin and lose support.

1b)Sources B and C are similar in terms of the treatment of Trotsky. I can infer from Source B that the Communist Party are treating Trotsky badly by trying to tarnish his image. This is evident from "you speak of the fictitious illness of my husband." and "You are actually deceiving the party." This shows that Stalin purposely gave the wrong message to the party and the public that Trotsky was a person who was indifferent about the country's affair by lying to the party and public that Trotsky feigned illness to skip meetings. In order to remove Trotsky as he was deemed as a huge threat to Stalin, Stalin had to lie to the public that Trotsky was not a responsible person that could be trusted to govern the country. Similarly, source C stated how badly the party treated Trotsky. This is evident from the two pictures. The first picture showed Lenin and Trotsky both in the picture among the crowd. However, the second photo that was published had Trotsky edited out of the photo. This shows that Stalin purposely put Trotsky in the bad light and had him portrayed as someone that was not close to Lenin. Since Lenin did not trusted Trotsky that much, the people of Soviet Union must have viewed Trotsky as someone that was not very capable in leading the country. This shows that Stalin purposely lied to the public about Trotsky's characters and misled their image towards him. Hence, both sources are similar in terms of Trotsky being mistreated by the party

The sources are similar in that both sources are treating him unfairly by trying to discredit Trotsky. In source B, Trotsky's wife writes to a member of the central committee accusing him of falsely accusing Trotsky of feigning illness. This is supported from "Trotsky feigned illness so as not to appear at the meetings!' On what grounds and by what right do you have to inform the party, the workers and the whole world that the reports of Trotsky's illness are false?" This shows that the wife is questioning the authenticity and reliability of the member as he has falsely accused Trotsky of feigning illness, treating him unfairly, so as to discredit Trotsky.
Source C shows a photograph from the Soviet papers by Stalin, and a original photograph. The photograph published in the Soviet Papers are doctored to show only Lenin in the picture, while the actual event had both Lenin and Trotsky photographed together. This was done to dissociate Trotsky with Lenin, as if this were to happen, Trotsky would be seen as the successor to Lenin, therefore making it harder for Stalin to rise to power. As this source is published in the Soviet Papers by Stalin himself, he would want to discredit Trotsky to enable himself to rise to power, and this was done unfairly by removing Trotsky from the picture.
Thus both sources are similar in showing how Trotsky was unfairly treated by discrediting him.

Sources B and C are also similar in that Trotsky's ill treatment by the Central Committee and the Soviet Paper were targeted at harming his public reputation. In source B, it shows that a member of the Central Committee has falsely accused Trotsky of feigning illness so as not to appear at meetings. These accusations are unsupported and baseless, as "the archives of the Central Committee contain reports by our best physicians on the state of Trotsky's health". Thus as these accusations was made in a speech in the central committee, it serves to discredit Trotsky within the highest decision making body in the Soviet Union, thus trying to tarnish his reputation within the government. This tarnished reputation would then spread to the rest of the SU, as the representatives in the Central Committee will spread the word that Trotsky has been feigning illness. Thus this source is trying to harm Trotsky's public reputation.
Source C.

Sources B and c is similar in terms of the treatment of Trotsky.
Source B shows that Trotsky is treated unfairly by the central committee. The Committee claimed that " Trotsky feigned illness so as to not appear at the meetings"and Inform the party, the workers and the whole world that the reports of trotsky's illness are false". It suggest that the committee were trying to remove him as they believed that he was a threat to them and their position. He was framed by the committee, making the people lose trust in him and hence hindering his progress to being the next leader of Soviet union.
Source C , similarly, shows the unfair treatment of Trotsky by the central committee. In source c, Trotsky was cropped out of the photograph of Lenin and him in a crowd and the edited photograph was published int the newspaper. the unedited photograph would convince the people in soviet union that Trotsky is close to lenin as they stand side by side, and that trotsky cares about the people as he was interacting with the crowd. The central committe did want Trotsky to gain the people's favour and hence removed him from the photograph. this action suggest that trotsky was unfairly denied his rightful credits and fame because of the committee's action.
Therefore, i agree that Source B and C is similar about the treatment of trotsky.

Source B and C are similar in terms of the mistreatment of Trotsky by the party members. From Source B, I can infer that Trotsky is unpopular between the party members as they have an unfair and unjustified judgement towards him. The evidence is "Referring to the anxiety and protests of many comrades you exclaim indignantly: "Trotsky feigned illness so as not to appear at the meetings!"" This tells me that the party members distrust Trotsky and make false negative assumptions of him having ill intentions due to their dislike towards him. As Trotsky is viewed in negative light within the party, he is unpopular and hence, the party members tries to tarnish his reputation, in means to eliminate him from the party. Similarly, from Source C, I can infer that Trotsky is being disregarded and disrespected by the party members. Source C shows two photos of Lenin in a crowd published in the Soviet papers by Stalin, one of it shows Trotsky standing next to Lenin and the other, Trotsky appearance is edited out. This tells me that the party members disregard Trotsky being a party member and publicly humiliate him by posting such negative and mocking images on the newspaper,in means to tarnish his reputation and make him a laughing stock. Hence, such ill treatment towards Trotsky shows his unpopularity within the party and the amount of disrespect the party members have towards him.

I can infer from source B that Trotsky was not favoured by a member of the Central Committee and thus was not being treated with just. This can be supported by "On what grounds and by what right do you have to inform the party, the workers and the whole world that the reports of Trotsky's illness are false?" This shows that with no concrete evidence, the member of the Central Committee accused Trotsky of something that he might not have done to get people to go against Trotsky, to tarnish his reputation. Similarly, i can infer from Source C that Stalin was not supportive of Trotsky. This is evident from the pictures in source C. The original photo that was suppose to be published was a picture of Lenin and Trotsky standing side by side, smiling too. However, Stalin removed Trotsky from the picture before publishing it in the Soviet papers. This shows that Stalin did not want to let the people of Soviet Union to get the idea that Trotsky and Lenin has a close relationship, thus he took Trotsky out of the picture, in order to prevent any chance of Trotsky getting support from the people. Thus Sources B and C are similar.

1b) Both sources are similar in showing that there was a prejudice against Trotsky within the government and that Trotsky was ill-treated by the members of the government. Source B tells me that the Central committee was trying to falsely justify why Trotsky was disregarding his duties s a member of the government. This is evident from,' you exclaim indignantly: Trotsky feigned illness so as not to appear at the meetings!' at what grounds and by what right do you have to infrom the party , the workers, and the whole world that the reports of Trotsky's illness were false?' and 'the archives of the Central committee contain reports by our best physicians on the state of Trotsky's health. Consultations of these physicians were held more than twice' implies that despite the overwhelming proof of Trotsky's ailment, this member of the central committee continues to insist that Trotsky was avoiding his responsibilities by giving an excuse and thus cause him to lose credibility within the party. Similarly, Source C tells me that Trotsky was intentionally removed from the presence of Lenin, the previous leader of the party in order to show that Lenin and Trotsky were not close in any way. This is evident from the picture published in the papers where Trotsky was removed and only Lenin was seen whereas the actual picture shows Trotsky walking beside Lenin. This shows that the picture was intentionally altered to give the impression that Trotsky was not close to Lenin in any way in order to show that Lenin did not favor Trotsky and that Trotsky was unworthy of being the next leader in the party. Thus, both sources are similar in telling me that Trotsky was disregarded by the government and that its members wanted to make sure that Trotsky continued to lose support.

Both sources have no difference...?

Both sources B and C are similar in terms of the fact that some of the member of the central committee party is trying to eliminate Trotsky as they saw him as a threat due to his great influence in the red army. . Source B tells me that the member of the parties are trying to remove Trotsky from his position by accusing him so that he will become unpopular and spoil his reputation. This can be seen in source b " 'Trotsky feigned illness as to not appear at the meetings.' " This is implies that the member of the party tried to remove Trotsky from his position by accusing him of faking his illness to not attending the meetings. By accusing Trotsky for not attending the meeting on purpose, the other members of the party would think that he is not loyal to the party and uninterested in the affairs of the party and therefore this would make Trotsky unpopular and eliminate Trotsky from his position. Similarly. source c tells me that the members of the party are trying to remove Trotsky from the party. This can be seen in source c which shows two photos of Lenin in the crowd. In the photo on the left, the photo shows both Lenin and Trotsky in a crowd together however, in the photo on the right, it shows Lenin present in the crowd only while Trotsky is being removed. This implies that the members of the party are removing Trotsky from the photo to accuse Trotsky of being absent of event and which shows that he is uninterested in the events and affairs of the party. By doing so, the members of the party and the public would see him as disloyal to the party and therefore this eliminates Trotsky from the party.

NOT A NATURAL SUCCESSOR TO LENIN, UNLIKE STALIN IN OTHER PHOTOS) , they will think that he is playing truant (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. POLITICAL LEADERS DON'T PLAY TRUANT. ONLY STUDENTS DO.

Both sources are similar in terms of showing the unjust treatment of Trotsky. Source b show how the many members of the Central Committee claimed that Trotsky's ailment was faked which was not true. The evidence are 'you speak of the fictitious illness of my husband', 'Trotsky feigned illness so not to appear at the meetings' and 'archives of the Central Committee contain reports by our best physicians on the state of Trotsky's health'. This shows that Trotsky illness was indeed real and the members of the Central Committee were spreading rumors to make Trotsky unpopular among the people which is unfair to Trotsky (STATE THE REASON WHY. WHAT DID THEY WANT TO PAINT HIM AS, EXACTLY??). Source c shows that Trotsky was edited out of the source as he was standing beside Lenin. The original picture actually shows that Lenin and Trotsky are quite close to each other. However, when Trotsky was edited out, he was seen to be quite distant to Lenin. Thus, many would think that he was not liked by Lenin which makes him less liked by the people in Soviet Union which is not right as it was untrue. (NOT CLOSE TO / NOT TRUSTED BY LENIN MIGHT BE BETTER THAN NOT LIKED.) Therefore, both sources are similar in terms of their inequitable treatment of Trotsky.

Sources B and C are similar as they both show Trotsky being put in a negative light. Source B speaks about the central committee condemning Trotsky's illness as a bare excuse to skip meetings held by the committee. This is evident from "Referring to the anxiety and protests of many comrades you exclaim indignantly :' Trotsky feigned illness so as not to appear at the meetings!" and "You are actually deceiving the party. The archives of the central committee contain reports by our best physicians on the state of Trotsky's health." This shows how the false reports and assumptions of the central committee has deemed Trotsky's made up illness, causing many people to doubt Trotsky and see him as lazy and incapable of being a leader for the soviet union. This shows how the central committee is aiming to remove Trotsky from holding power in the communist party, by misleading communist supporters into perceiving him negatively, to ruin his reputation, ultimately resulting to his loss of power in the party. Furthermore, as it was in the year 1928, Stalin also had Trotsky as an opponent, fighting to be the leader of the communist party. Hence, in such situational context, he would spread rumors of Trotsky to gain popularity for himself, by portraying Trotsky negatively. Thus, this would lead to the rise of Stalin due to his cunning tactics. Source C show Stalin removing Trotsky from photographs with Lenin, to deceive communist supporters into believing that they were not close. This is evident from the edited photograph on the right showing everyone but Trotsky, although the actual photograph taken had him included. This shows how Stalin had been disregarding Trotsky being close with Lenin, by introducing such ways of removing evidence them being together. This would stir up a fuss among communist supporters, as they would not be convinced that Lenin trusted Trotsky, hence reducing the number of supporters of Trotsky. Since many would believe that Trotsky and Lenin were not close as they were not commonly seen together, they would lose trust and support for Trotsky. Therefore, this would attract supporters towards Stalin, resulting in Stalin's rise to power due to his cunning manipulations of damaging Trotsky's reputation. Therefore, both sources B and C show Stalin using cunning ways to put Trotsky in a negative light, and attract supporters for himself

Sources B and C are similar in terms of showing that Trotsky was being treated badly so he will be remove of his position. In source B, it says that some of the people in the Central Committee are spreading fake news saying that Trotsky's Sickness is not real. They claim he is faking it so that he will not need to attend the party's meetings and thus not do his job. However, his wife says that he is being wrongly accused as his sickness is real evident from 'you speak of the fictitious illness of my husband'. Thus, this shows us that Trotsky was being treated badly by the party because by doing so, the party's people and the Soviet Union people will feel that he is not doing his job well and so he will be removed from the party and so other members like Stalin can rise to power.Similarly in Source C, it shows 2 pictures, one before photoshopping and one after photoshop. In the 1st picture it was Lenin and Trotsky among the crowds of Soviet Union people showing that they had a close relationship and they were serving their people and doing their job together. However in the next picture which was published to the public by Stalin, Trotsky was being removed. This shows that Staling treated him badly as by doing so the people Of Soviet Union will not know that Trotsky has a close relationship with Lenin and hence people will naturally not support him as much a they support Stalin because according to my contextual knowledge Stalin prentended to be close to Lenin by visiting him often when he was sick so people will think that they have a close relationship and thus support him more and help him rise to his position.

Sources B and C are similar in terms of the unfair treatment of Trotsky. Source B tells me that the Central Committee has accused Trotsky of acting as though he was ill, which in fact, he was really in bad health. It is evident from "On what grounds and what right do you have to inform the party, the workers and the whole world that the reports of Trotsky's illnesses are false? You are actually deceiving the party". This is unfair to Trotsky as it brought down his reputation, making the people of Soviet Union believe that he was faking his illness. This happened because he was infamous in the party as he lead the Red Army, and was seen as very threatening and dangerous to the other potential successors of Lenin. Similarly, Source C tells me that the Central Committee has removed Trotsky from an original picture of him and Lenin. The picture that has Trotsky removed was actually published in the Soviet papers by Stalin. This is unfair to Trotsky as it may seem that he was not that close to as compared to Stalin, and people of the Soviet Union will then think that Stalin is the natural successor of Lenin. Stalin did this to his own advantage because Trotsky was his biggest opponent, and if he made Trotsky look as if he was not as close to Lenin as Stalin is, he would have the upper hand in being the next leader of Soviet Union. Thus, Sources B and C are similar in terms of Trotsky being treated unfairly by the party

1B) Source B and C are similar in terms of how Trotsky was treated. I can infer from Source B that the communist party are trying to ruin Trotsky's reputation by accusing him of pretending to ill each time for each meeting. This is evident that 'speak of the fictitious illness of my husband' and 'Trotsky feigned illness so as not to appear at the meetings.' this suggest that the communist party had wrongly accused Trotsky of purposely faking his sickness to skip meetings. This is done purposely by them in order for Trotsky's reputation to worsen so he would not be able to be part of the communist party. This was because members of the communist party did not want Trotsky to rise in power as they felt that Trotsky was a threat to them. Similarly, in source C, Stalin had removed Trotsky from the picture. This is done so in order to convince the Soviets that Trotsky was almost never around Lenin which meant that he was never close with Lenin or Lenin did not want him around. Thus, the soviets will think that Trotsky is not suitable enough to remain in the communist party or be Lenin's successor as compared to Stalin. Since Trotsky's reputation will slowly get worse and worse if Stalin continues, this means that Trotsky will not be as popular as Stalin and will hence lose power and be removed from the party. This was Stalin's goal as he and other members of the party wanted to remove Trotsky. Hence both sources are similar as the communist party is trying to get rid of Trotsky by ruining his reputation.

I can infer from source B that the other party members are trying to ruin the reputation and remove Trotsky from power by making false assumptions (EXACTLY WHAT??). This is evident from "On what grounds and by what rights do you have to inform the party, the workers and the whole world that the reports of Trotsky's illness are false? This is evident from Source C, where the original picture of Lenin and Trotsky together was edited by removing Trotsky before being published in the Soviet papers by Stalin. This shows that Trotsky was treated unfairly as other Party members, like Stalin, see him as a threat and hence wants to make Trotsky unpopular by making him look not as good such as not letting the public see him with Lenin, (CORRECT BUT. The photo on the left has Lenin and Trotsky beside each other. In the photo on the right Trotsky is removed from the photo. Source B states that Trotsky was purposely feigned illness as he did not want to attend the meetings. The member of the Central Committee did so as to tarnish Trotsky's reputation as someone who is irresponsible and does not want to part take in decision making. They want to ostracise him from the Committee to remove him from power. In Source C, Trotsky was removed because Stalin did not want people to see that Trotsky was close to Lenin. By removing Trotsky from the photo this gives Trotsky less credibility as Lenin's successor as Trotsky would be seen as not close to Lenin. This action helps lower Trotsky's position in power.

I can infer from Source B that the Central Committee is trying to cause Trotsky to lose support of the party. The evidence is "Trotsky feigned illness as as to not appear at the meetings!" and "You are actually deceiving the party." The Central Committee want to make Trotsky shown to the party members as a irresponsible and lazy leader as they deceived the party by saying that Trotsky is faking his illness to skip meetings, so that Stalin will lose a competitor to be the leader of the Soviet Union.Similarly, I can infer from Source C that Trotsky is left out of propaganda so that he will lose support of the people. The source shows an original photo taken and an edited photo published in the Soviet newspapers. The original photo shows Lenin in a crowd with Trotsky beside him, but in the edited photo that is published in the Soviet newspaper, Trotsky is edited out of the photo by Stalin. These actions by Stalin aims to make Trotsky lose reputation and lose the support of the other party members as well as the Soviet people so that Stalin can easily become the next leader of the Soviet Union.
Source B and C are similar in terms of showing is poor treatment of Trotsky. Therefore as both Sources are similar in terms of showing the poor treatment of Trotsky, thus Sources B and c are similar.

Similarly, from Source C, I can infer that Trotsky is being disregarded and disrespected by the party members (GOOD.
