During the eruption, fawns would have to move to higher altitudes just as full-grown deer. But they'd also need to adapt to have darker fur so predators won't see them on the forest floor.

Effects of the Eruption

The Eruption would cause deer to all move to higher altitude because of the smoke and ash throughout the air. As the smoke and ash settles there will still be a lot of burnt trees and grass, causing the deer to stay in the mountains so they can eat and survive.
