They are so much fun! There is huge range to their music (I have linked to a cover but they also put out new music in English and French). I especially love how you can vividly see the discrete elements that blend into “a” song in their videos and how many iterations there are along the way.

Before the Next Teardrop Falls by The Jolly Boys

For some time now I've been obsessed by and collecting "covers" — other versions of original or famous songs. I especially like covers that really transform the song. One example I love is the Jamaican mento band The Jolly Boys cover of Before the Next Teardrop Falls, a song made most famous in a sorta US country-western version by Freddy Fender. The Jolly Boys also do some other really lovely covers, like of Rolling Stones songs.
