The fist thing i did for this class was watch the Ted talk on "school's that work for kids." Kids hate school which is heart breaking to hear. It is all about content. The one question that was a big light bulb moment for me was when he said "are we preparing our kids of life?" Listening to this ted talk made me realize that as a future teacher i want to be that teacher that helps them get ready for real life. I learned that id it is important to us then we will find a way. Now a days students can make group messages and that takes away attention from the teacher and the lesson. It can also lead to less face time with the teacher and students. Often times we see students with nice phones or any form of technology and students who do not because they simply just cannot afford it.
