Your teacher will be setting you up in a program called Cinch.

You will be spending time on Cinch nearly every day. It is a virtual lesson world that has an interactive textbook, virtual labs, and cool videos.

Make sure you write down your user name and password in your notebook when you get set up today.

You should be working on your reading/writing activity in your virtual textbook. This chapter is about Scientific Inquiry. Please make sure you are doing two things -- ANSWERING QUESTIONS throughout the chapter, and WRITING VOCABULARY DEFINITIONS in your notebook.

We will do a lab activity tomorrow (Friday) and discuss Scientific Inquiry.

Today we are going to do a lab activity. It involves paper airplanes. Before we can do that, you will need to take some basic notes and we will need to discuss a couple of things.

Here's what you need to do today.

Grab a blank sheet of white paper. Pretend that you were looking at the room from above -- almost like you were looking at a map of the room.

Draw a map of the room. Think of the lab safety items that you would need. Where would you put them? Draw and label where you would put them in the room. You get 10 points for each item that you place in the room. (Yes, this is a grade.)
