This marks my 20th year of teaching. French language teaching has been my focus. I have taught all subject areas with the exception of music and Phys ed. My team of instructional coaches and I are working on a Collaborative Inquiry. Our theory of Action: "If we deepen our understanding of the history of Indigenous communities through research, readings, field work, and making connections through a social justice and equity lens, then we will be able to support our schools with integrating Indigenous perspectives into teaching and learning." I was under the impression it was Sir John A MacDonald who said that phrase.  - a lot of "unclears" were righted for me in the first few pages.

Looking at our government representatives reflects that fact. Canadian perspectives have changed -influenced by immigration. Asserting control over a particular territory is no longer of paramount concern.
