Resources that are There.

In Maine, there are many things there that is useful. Maine is near bodies of water, which we can catch fish, lobster, and other kinds of seafood. There are many trees there, and the trees can be used to help build boats (transportation), armor, weapons, tools, shelters, fires, etc. The climate in Maine is very comfortable, which could allow us to grow more crops to get a better food supply. Water, since we are able to get water from the ocean, we can boil the water using the fire. Boiling the ocean water would make the water a little more drinkable, instead of drinking just salt water. The types of wood that is available is white pine wood, spruce fir, and northern hardwood.

Why Ogunquit?

Ogunquit would be a good settlement for us because, there's not too many people who live there. This town is not overpopulated which is good, so we don't have to worry about more limited resources if there are more people there who would use them also. Ogunquit also has many resources there that could be used for several things. Also, Ogunquit is at the very edge near the water, we would then have a good water supply if we boil the water to make it drinkable.

The average climate in Ogunquit is 58 degrees when it is at hits highest. At it's lowest the average is 39 degrees. As you can tell Maine doesn't nit have the warmest weather compared to us in the NJ. That is because Maine is very far from the equator which gives warmth. NJ is farther down in the US so we get more heat. Maine on average is cold

Why we need these Resources

The resources that we said we would want to bring, we would have a good reason to use them all. First off water, even though we know that there is going to water there at out settlement, we decided to bring it during the journey there. Also, just in case if the water there is not drinkable, or cannot be properly boiled. Seeds, to grow crops for food, so we could have a strong food supply. Wood, Ogunquit would have plenty of trees which we could use the wood for armor, boats, houses, weapons, etc. To make fires too is important, so we could boil our water. And, it would create warmth for us if we need it.
