The core idea of attachment theory is that a primary caregiver who can effectively respond to a baby's needs can help the infant develop a sense of security. The infant affirms the caregiver as trustworthy, laying a secure basis for the child's future exploration of the world. Evolution has resulted in attachment. Bowlby and others feel that children are intrinsically compelled to create ties with caregivers

Pay interest to the infant's desires cues, and respond persistently and compassionately. Keep them bodily close. Babywearing is a ideal way to use bodily closeness to promote emotions of protection and security. Fathers commonly encourage competition, challenge, initiative and independence. Parents who compete for their child's love and devotion are greater in all likelihood to have offspring who are insecurely attached to both parents. That can enhance into what Bowlby identified as the 4 sorts of infant, baby, to toddler, increase via the attachment styles: labeled as; secure, anxious-ambivalent, disorganised and avoidant.

Hypothesize why the early studies on attachment were only about mother?

What was the first attachment study that focused only on the mother-infant bond?
Because although mother infant bond can be studied very easily through feeding nursing cycles, care and cleaning cycles, these all can be related to that bonding experience and development. What was not studied was the factthat the father also does take part in these cycles in a defined setting of nurturing as well and builds that stranger love trust. Because babies grow inside the mother they understand the heartbeat the smell and the sound of their voice developed long before baby was born the father now hast to start from a stranger point of you in the babies eyes developing into trusting loving nurturing.
Ainsworth defined secure (type B), insecure avoidant (type A), and insecure ambivalent/resistant attachment patterns (Form C) (1970).
She discovered that these attachment types were the result of early interactions with the mother. It's easy to determine whether you're attached to someone because you know how you feel when you're not with them, and you can express yourself as an adult by putting your thoughts into words.

Early interaction:

Interacting with dads and their babies in the early hours can assist to create a link between a father and his kid.

2. Skin to skin:

The upsides of skin-to-skin contact with a child are notable: temperature of the executives, stress decrease, glucose solidness, oxytocin (love chemical) creation, solace, and security. When it is pragmatic, fathers may and ought to appreciate skin-to-skin time with their infants. Getting settled in an agreeable seat with their shirt off, a bare newborn child on his chest, and the two of them wrapped by a warm cover is an extraordinary way for them to profit from the oxytocin discharge that will happen.

3. Bathing with baby:

Washing with your child: Washing with your child is another movement that promotes skin-to-skin contact. While most newborns do not require regular bathing, having the father clean up with the kid on his chest in internal heat level water is an excellent way to relax and bond.

4.
