Barriers to Education Around the World

This article is about barriers that are affecting children's education. Some countries have a lack of funding towards education. Others don't even have teachers or they have teachers but they aren't trained or they don't have a classroom to learn in. In countries with a lack of money, students don't have the materials that they need. In many poor countries disabled children are excluded from schools since they don't have any special programs. Gender is also a very big barrier, poverty forces families to choose one of their children to go to school and girls often miss out because the belief is there is a less value for educating girls than boys

The schools tried many things to reach their goal. These schools found the importance of pre-kindergarten schooling. They found out the most important part of success in education is one-on-one tutoring with the teacher. Also family support of the student is very important since not all learning is done in the classroom with the teacher.
