Individual freedom is extremely important to every one because it not only allows us to make our own choices freely, but it also holds us responsible for own own actions that we will pursue through being able to freely make choices for ourselves. Having individual freedom is something we don’t even think about having because we have always had it and probably always will, because it is a “constitutional value”. In the scarlet letter individual freedom is much more restricted then what we are used to because of Puritan laws and religious views. In todays society, we value individual freedom as something that is extremely necessary, although individual freedom can mean different things to everyone. Within political parties we see a big split in opinions. In todays society individual freedom has a part in almost everything we do, how we express ourselves.
