Hi! Im excited to share my first usrah experience here in CFS. As the starting of my usrah meeting, i got to introduce myself in front of the usrah members and Naqib, also get to know them more in ice breaking session.

For this week sharing, the Naqib mentioned about Adab in seeking knowledge. Adab in seeking knowledge covers so many aspect like someone's attitude to their teacher, also respect towards Al-Quran as our source of knowledge. That's all from me this week. See you next week!

Introducing myself

Hi there!

My name is Afiq Firdaus Bin Mohd Hairil.

I turned 18 this year and still counting Alhamdulillah.

Currently I'm pursuing studies at CFS IIUM, specifically in Foundation of Engineering (FENG).

Little bit about my background, I'm born and raised in Selangor. Graduated from Malay College Lembah Keramat.

My current hobby is playing tennis and badminton.

My experience participating in Ibadah Camp

The ibadah camp started at maghrib time where participants are required to pray maghrib and isha' prayers by jamaah. After praying, I immeditely set foot to Al-Khawarizmi Hall to hear about Surah Al-Kahfi Tafseer talk by a famous panel. After the talk, I proceed to take nap at CFS Mosque before continuing the second day of the camp.

I woke up early the second day to join the Tahajjud, Hajat, Tasbih and Witr prayers to cleans myself from sins. Proceed with subh jamaah and kulliyah subh.

After refreshing up, continue with little talk at Al-Khawarizmi Hall and group activities with usrah members. The activities is to create charity program for people in needs. The program end around zuhr time.

Jibril Hadith

In this meeting, the Naqib recite a Jibril Hadith. The summary of the hadith is, the angel Gabriel disguised himself as a handsome foreign man to teach the Prophet Muhammad and his companions about Islam, Faith, Ihsan, and the signs of the Day of Judgment. After that, Muhammad SAW revealed his identity and insisted that his purpose was to teach them the religion of Islam.

Iman, Ihsan, Islam

In this meeting, the Naqib thought us to be grateful for the favor of Iman and Islam because we are born in Islamic household, so its easy for us to get to know about Islam.

Also explained by Naqib the meaning of Ihsan, it means excellence, perfection, or doing good in the best possible way. And a muslim shall possessed the three pillar of Islam.

Believe in Qada' Qadar, Rasul and Here After

Belief in the Messengers and Prophets requires accepting all of Allah's prophets, who were sent to guide humanity to monotheism (Tawhid). Muslims must follow their example by embodying virtues like gratitude, patience, and kindness in daily life.

Belief in Divine Decree (Qada' and Qadar) is the belief that Allah has preordained all things based on His eternal Knowledge, Will, and Creation. This belief brings peace of mind, encourages reliance on Allah, and promotes contentment.

Belief in the Hereafter involves certainty in the Day of Judgment, resurrection, and the eternal rewards of Paradise or Hell. This belief provides life with purpose, motivates good deeds, and helps believers remain patient during hardships.

Ihsan and Eschatology

Ihsan is to worship God with such devotion as if you see Him, knowing He always sees you. It means doing all actions, from worship to social dealings, with excellence and beauty.

Eschatology is the belief in life after death, including the Day of Judgment, resurrection, and the eternal rewards of Paradise or Hell.

The two are directly linked: The practice of Ihsan is the path to achieving the positive outcome in the Hereafter. By living a life of conscious excellence, a Muslim seeks God's pleasure and the reward of Paradise.

Adab

Adab refers to the Islamic concept of good manners, morals, and appropriate conduct, derived from the teachings of Islam. It is both a quality and a process that can be learned. The document emphasizes that adab is crucial for a person's success and happiness, distinguishing it from akhlaq (inner morality) by focusing on outward behavior. A key example is provided through Prophet Ibrahim's respectful and gentle manner when advising his idol-worshipping father, demonstrating that adab must be maintained even in difficult situations. The overall message is that cultivating adab is a fundamental and highly valued aspect of life.

Summary : Mamat got admitted to SBPI Ngawi, a prestigious school due to his excellent result in UPSR. However, Mamat have quite a problem—which is he’s gay. He lured himself into a point where he commit adultery and got expelled from the school.

Mamat thought this is his ending, but he choose to repent and change his bad habit. Few years later, he changed into a better person and already became an ustaz and one day, accidentally reunited with his old friends.

Lesson : We shall not think bad things happened to us incidates a bad ending. Rather than giving up, we should take lesson from it and strive to be a better person in the future. Changing our bad habits can make ourselves became someone better from time to time.

My overall words for this Semester Usrah 1

Alhamdulillah, I have finish my Usrah 1 for Semester 1 in CFS IIUM. To wrap it up, I have gained many experience from the Usrah meetings and also learn so many new things. Moreover, I made so many new friends and get to bond with them through discussion, Ibadah Camp and Collaboration Project.

Indeed, this Usrah is going to be one of my core memories of CFS and I'm looking forward for Usrah 2 for the next Semester, That's all from me, Bittaufiq Wannajah InshaAllah.
