I have also felt the way of wanting everything to be perfect in my life in the way Coraline saw her perfect world like a dream come true, having everything she wanted. Another valuable lesson is to value what you have I tend to not value what i have sometimes but i must remind my self that the world is not fair and others will always have more then me, but other will always have less then me. I think the story did a good job showing and teaching the lesson to Coraline.

Alice in wonderland symbolizes her maturing and going into her adulesens. Alice using the hole under the tree , and Coraline the door in the wall. i really do believe that Coraline is a modern vision of Alice in wonderland.
