Joining this program is a choice I can never regret.Through the knowledge that I have gained,I have improved in many areas.I am able to come to the level of children and it has enabled me to create a good relationship with them.They trust me, they feel safe with me and they are ready to learn from me.I now know the needs of children in their different ages and this helps me to prepare activities that will foster their development.I am able to look for different activities that captures children’s attention and I am trying varying strategies to keep children engaged.Understanding these children has made my work enjoyable and has minimized my stress greatly.

The things that have been challenging in the course of my learning is to do with assignments whereby I could not do some of the assignments the way I wanted. For instance I couldn’t make a table to compare infants and toddlers.I couldn’t work with excel on the IPad. Sometimes when the day’s work was very exhausting,I would fail to do my studies and I would be forced to work during my relaxing time.

So far my favourite things in day to day work has been trying to build trust through making good relationships , helping , supporting and giving quality care to children that entrusted in my care. I fulfilled when I understand all the my children’s needs ,behaviours and level of mental development. I enjoy being part of the team as an educator to watch children develop, and grow into more reasonable, respectful, useful and useful humans in this community.i admire when children become naughty , feeling cranky or silly and sometimes need a hug from me. While on outside play i enjoy watching them burn up their energy through play while I sometimes join them to play. Nap time is so amazing for me when most of them fall asleep while a few make up come up with new techniques on how to bring them to sleep every day. At circle is one of the most interesting past as kids get more connected to me especially when we sing songs and include their names and ask them to demonstrate actions. In fact my day care is just ideal place for because children make my dream fulfilled. I’m happy and proud ECE educator. WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST CHANGING. Working with children can be very challenging especially toddlers or younger kids as they are full of anxiety and are very inquisitive at this stage. They hardly listen and need to repeat everything over and over. Sometimes prioritizing and multitasking is a problem with children because they require attention all the times. Trying to manage children with very strong emotions can be very challenging especially toddlers. I try my best every day to improve on all this . I learning to become more PATIENT with children, and to always correct them in a more friendly manner , being consistent and constant, and minimizing punishment while using gentle ways for their understanding. One of my favourite things about my experience is “letting go of my fears and start learning again”.

I have fear of updating my knowledge about new technology ,balancing time and work. It is beautiful and we are grateful that we have a great support from our teacher and mentors. “Don’t be afraid to try” is my new motto. Now , I feel like I want to learn more and try new things.

It is amazing.

The most challenging for me so far is how new technology and communication works. Getting there, one step at a time.Slowly, I am learning and willing to learn. One thing also challenging for me is sometimes, I find it really hard to compose my thoughts in a professional way. I know as long as Im open to learn and willing to learn nothing is impossible. I can do this!

My favourite thing is that this course is amazing and that things I never knew about child care. We have a great supporter to help and especially our tutor who is there when I need help. I want to learn and try new things like sewing and hands on. I am learning a lot and lots of information and its very interesting.

My challenging is that I have a hard time trying to answer thes padelts and I need help. I am taking it very slow and I keep going over and reading all over again to try and get the question. As long I am learning and willing to do the work I know will do great and learn things that I have ne’er learned before. I hope I do good in this course and pass but I know I can do it.

My favourite part of this experience is the new knowledge I gained. I learned many things that I can now apply in real life situations, especially when working with children. I enjoy seeing how they learn, grow and respond to the activities I prepare. It makes me happy that I can use what I learned in class and turn it into something useful and practical. I also feel more confident now because this program helped me understand children better, like their needs, their behaviour, and how to guide them in a simple and patient way.

The most challenging part for me is managing my time. My schedule is always hectic, and my schoolwork piles up fast. There are moments when I feel like I can’t finish everything on time, especially because I am a mother. Balancing my responsibilities at home and my tasks for school work is not easy. There are days when I feel tired or overwhelmed, but i still push myself because I want to do well. Even with all these challenges, I always try to manage my time and do my best. This experience taught me to stay strong, be organized, and keep going even when things get hard.

~ My favourite things about my experience so far would be, learning about the different domains, those I didn’t know before and it was interesting and fun learning about the different ways that a child can learn through. Another thing would be, including our culture through sewing, it really helped me be motivated to sew for my family this year.

~ The most challenging I’d say for me would be, having to record myself and posting it on the padlet, because I am a very shy person and when I was in school I would not dare go up in front of the class room and present an assignment, so doing that took me a lot of self encouragement and helped me be a little more confident to do more to further get good grades in this course.

My favourite in this program so far is learning about the domains of child development. When I started working at daycare, we always plan activities based on the domains and my knowledge is limited but going through the lessons and activities on padlets, it is more easier to plan for an activity for the children and it’s more effective for them because I was more strategic and I went further on searching interesting activities.

The most challenging for me is managing my time. I encountered some emergencies that challenged me and made it hard to focus in doing school work then falling behind gives me hard time to start over again. I have to push my self to move forward and keep going.

This program has allowed me to meet new people and being exposed to new materials that i was not aware of. Most importantly ShanShan, she has made navigating this program and work manageable through her patience and encouragement i have managed to balance the two. Thank you.

Learning about different kids development stages broken down by ages has helped me in understanding and making my group. Having a mixed group can be challenging and sometimes i will feel bad because i will focus more on certain age. Now i am able to have content for all ages and developing programming that’s feasible. It has also helped me to be patient with my kids and myself especially on “emotional “ days when we cannot do much of the activities planned.

I have enjoyed learning about the Inuit child rearing programs/Ununnguiniq and culture. I have mostly Inuit kids in my care and sometimes i had challenges managing certain behaviour. But through the program i can understand and be able to manage and also be able to ask questions . Also i can now sing and speak a few words with my kids since we are having challenges with having an elder coming to the centre.

The challenges is time management and being anxious about the work load. This sometimes affects my day.
