today's day!

I can guarantee that it will stay forever... one day, it will definitely mark a new beginning, a new vision, a new story...
It's impossible to wake up tomorrow and be the same person, today was marked by meeting new people, a new place, new flavors, new smiles...

today's day...
Allow me to bring new experiences, new sensations to my classroom. I'm a geography teacher, I want my students to understand the world as a place of belonging... it's theirs, but it's also ours and others.... and today we meet others... colleagues from Greece and Spain and Rita from Lithuania and Guadalupe and with them I got to know flavors, got to know stories, got to know realities, got to know the world that is theirs, but also mine...
Today is the first and will never be forgotten.

I learned a few things about Guadeloupe, history, geography, nature, and above all about its multiculturalism.

The multiculturalism of Guadeloupe results from the multinationalization of its people, which ends up desanation in its National identity.

No people have a genuine National identity, the entire national identity results from international influences and introductions, sometimes peaceful, and sometimes brutal.

All people are a mixture, a “soup” of other people. It is ironic that the richness of a national identity lies in its multiculturalism. It's always been that way and always will be. What changes is the speed of international interference, in the past it was necessary several generations for international interference, to become a National identity. Today, due to the speed of communication between peoples, globalization, in a single generation we have several international interferences in the national identity of a people.

Is this a loss of identity or a gain in identity? In my opinion it is a gain of national identity. And long live to multiculturalism

The hostory of Guadeloupe was sth that i had never heard of before. Very interesting and shocking at the same time, as are almost all the stories of colonised places. I was also impressed to learn about how Columbus accidentally discovered the island and decided to take advantage of this land.

So impressed by the history of Guadeloupe! How it was discovered and exploited by the colonisers. All the information about slavery was really interesting.
I didn't know Benjamin Obadiah, and I liked his poem "the British" .
Last but best, sharing ideas with my colleagues from Spain and Portugal is an invaluable experience!🤗🤗🤗

Today I met and communicated with people with different national and personal identities. We travelled to the other side of the Atlantic to learn through travelling, through cooperating, through sharing food and ideas.I learned that learning is a matter of sharing. I learned that it is important to get to know others, to be open minded and to realise that nothing, not even yourself is fixed and unchangeable. What impressed me most is that colonialism still exists in Guadeloupe though we are now talking about globalisation.
