Women typically wore stuff like flapper dresses, bucket hats, pearls, etc. Women wore bucket hats the majority of the time to protect their hair from lice, they wore pearls to represent freedom and modernity. Many women weren't able to wear short dresses or anything revealing until the late 1900s and when they did flapper dresses came to represent freedom.
