I was Kesston's teacher, and I absolutely adored working with him. I also got the chance to know Mrs. Miles as well. She was so sweet and such a beautiful lady.
Last week in class, Kesston asked if he could share a song in class. The other students were working on their morning work, so we went into a breakout room on our own. He played me the song "You Raise Me Up." Little did he know how the Lord was using him that morning. I truly needed to hear that song that morning. It was truly amazing to see God work through such a young boy to bring joy to someone else's life. I truly hope this memory brings your some comfort during this hard time. It clearly shows what great parents you and Grace were to these beautiful children.

Please know if you ever need anything, I am always here for you. Kesston will forever leave an imprint on my heart for what he did for me that day.

Zane...oh Zane he was surely the best young man I have ever met. He brought so much magic to my life and opened my eyes to the ordinary making it extraordinary. This scripture gives my family and I hope. Hopefully this will help you. Again, I am so sorry. :(

Mrs. Miles was such a strong, sweet person. I always enjoyed speaking to her. I was Traydon's teacher. He was quiet and shy until he got to know you. I so enjoyed him in class each day. He never quite understood why the girls in class were paying so much attention to him, but I know he enjoyed it. He will be missed.

We are an ALVA family that stays in the Scottsboro area. Though we did not personally know your family, were beyond devastated for you when we heard the news. Our family has a unique perspective. My husband and I are both previously widowed before meeting and marrying each other in 2017. Our 3 kids have all lost a parent. Though we can not comprehend or grasp the scope of loss you all have experienced, we do understand loss personally.
