1. If Earth’s temperature were to rise significantly, metamorphic rocks would increase in abundance. This is because heat plays a crucial role in transforming existing rocks—igneous, sedimentary, or even other metamorphic rocks—into new forms through recrystallization. With higher global temperatures, more rocks near Earth’s surface could undergo changes in mineral structure without fully melting. Over long periods, this would lead to a noticeable increase in metamorphic rock formations. Thus, temperature rise directly promotes the abundance of metamorphic rocks.

The process of rock formation teaches us discipline because it happens slowly over millions of years, showing that meaningful results require consistent conditions and time. Just like scientists must carefully observe, test, and wait for accurate results, rocks also demonstrate the value of gradual transformation. Patience is reflected in how layers build up or crystals slowly form under pressure and heat. The persistence of natural processes reminds scientists that progress cannot be rushed. Therefore, rock formation is a metaphor for steady, disciplined work in scientific discovery.

Based on what I know, it really depends on how we contextualize "Earth's temperature". If it is the surface or global climate, then I believe that sedimentary rocks will increase in abundance as high temperature increases chemical weathering, as higher temperatures equate to faster chemical reactions. But if we were to talk about the rise of internal or geological temperature, then metamorphic rocks would increase since more heat inside the Earth would transform rocks.

The process of rock formation teaches us about discipline and patience in scientific work as the rock formation is slow and gradual, it takes thousands to millions of years. Which mirrors how scientific work requires discipline, because results will not appear instantly; one must carefully follow methods and procedures to arrive to a certain outcome. It teaches patience, since just as rocks transform slowly under constant pressure, heat or deposition, meaningful scientific discoveries come from sustained effort, repeated trials, and long-term dedication. It reminds us that great results are built layer by layer, and paired beautifully with time, persistence, and consistency.

Picture this: Earth's getting fever - what would happen? More rain, more wind and rocks breaking down faster! Higher temperatures means more weathering and erosion, breaking down existing rocks into sediments. These sediments then get carried away by wind and water, eventually settling and compacting to form new layers of sedimentary rock. It's like Earth recycling itself on grand scale.

Rock formation is a slow and steady process. Just as it takes ages for them to form, scientists need the same kind of patience and focus to study them. You could think of a detective piecing together clues over a long period of time to solve a mystery. Another thing is that rocks changes form due to different pressures and experiences— just like we humans are; we change inevitably. It mirrors our own journey of change, teaching us that patience and discipline lead to profound transformation, both in science and life.

                                          — Euriz Dimalaluan

1. Analyzing the given scenario, I believe that due to significantly higher temperatures, Igneous rocks would become more abundant, alongside Metamorphic rocks. Both types of rocks rely on heat to form, with the latter of the two also needing pressure to be made. Of course, this is assuming that the increase of temperature is high enough to melt rocks, yet it is still possible for them to cool down. If that were the case, then both rocks would increase in number due to the rock cycle.

2. The strongest and most sturdy of rocks along with the most beautiful of minerals don't appear overnight, they take time and sometimes have the need to endure pressure to form. The same can be said about working in general, especially in the scientific field. It takes great effort, patience, and discipline for us to finish something like research. It may not be easy nor is it fast, and admittedly, there are no shortcuts, but we could create something meaningful that lasts more than a lifetime if we don't give up.

1. It will depend on its temperature, process, and environment when explaining which rock had an increase abundance in high temeperatures. Metamorphic Rocks are from existing rocks which those rocks transform due to heat and pressure, indicates it increase in abundance in high temperature. While in Ignaous Rocks, there are made from rocks which is melted due to a higher temeperature and those melted rocks called magma which it comes out called lava cools and forms new rocks, which also had an abundance.

2. We see that all things in nature both organic and inorganic are a product of a process and developement through time. things in motion are not always quick and fast, as also to in making scientific studies. Its through discipline and patience will create things better and whole.

-Gabriel Farenas

It varies on the three types, considering the different ways these types form. Though from what i can see, both metamorphic and igneous are more common due to extreme heat and pressure (pressure if it's below the surface).

But, sedimentary rocks can also form alongside the aforementioned ones above; created by compression of layers.

As many know, rock formation can take a while to complete. It's also a delicate and time-consuming process, reflecting discipline and patience. You can't get good results if you rush things too quickly.
