Lesson 3: The lesson is revisiting work on drugs in general.

Talk 1 – 1.55pm-2.15pm – B,C,W and Z

Talk 2 – 2.25pm-2.45pm - A,D,Y and X

In order for these talks to run smoothly, we please need staff to do the following:

• Andy and myself will be in the theatre helping the speakers set up and on hand to help during the talk. 

• CPSHE teachers of 11 B, C, W and Z  to meet their students directly outside the theatre at 1.50pm, lining up in silence and completing a paper register before coming in for the talk to start at 1.55pm. Please put a note on your door to let students know to meet you at the theatre. A note will also be put in Google Classroom.  At the end of the session escort your classes out of the theatre when they are dismissed and bring them back to class to complete the in class lesson. The whole class should please be taken back to the classroom together, with no pupil allowed to hang around.

• CPSHE teachers of 11 A, D, Y and X to register their classes in their usual rooms to complete the in class session and bring them to line up outside the theatre in silence at 2.20pm. Bring your class in to the theatre when asked in by myself or Andy for the talk to start at 2.25pm. At the end of the session escort your classes out to go home. 

• All CPSHE teachers - during the talk please sit with your group and indicate to Andy if you need behaviour support those students may be removed to sit at the side of the theatre.

Computer lesson - signing up to Springpod

Please instruct students to go to the Springpod website and create an account. This website can be found by typing “Springpod work experience” into Google. Students are to use their school email address when making an account. If they have time once they have made an account and signed in, they can go to their dashboard and click “explore virtual work experience” to have a look at the types of virtual work experience placements available. They can use the heart button to like any opportunities that look of particular interest.

The Y12 CPSHE lesson next week is focussed on getting students signed up to UCAS.

A few important things to note:

• the buzzword is MORPETH25

• students should use a personal email address not a school email address

• students should be able to choose their tutor group to join (otherwise they can use the default group and I can move them)

Students will be able to sign up on their phones and Wifi will be enabled. This lesson will be a good opportunity for students to make a start on their application, connect to our centre and start completing their personal details. As per the presentation, they will ideally complete the following:

• register for an account

• starting your application

• application overview

• personal details

• contact details

• nationality details

• where you live

If there is any spare time, students can then start using UCAS to research universities and courses. We will be going through personal statements (using Unifrog) on 8^th July.
