Race Relations Act 1976

The race relations act is an Act which was made to stop discrimination between difference racial groups. It helped to make fresh advancements with respect to discrimination on racial grounds. This act helps aid and protect relations between people of different racial groups. This act also helped to make amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 bringing provisions in that Act relating to its administration and enforcement.

The race relations act was brought into action to deter people from discrimination and to help create a more equal environment for everyone. Within media and broadcasting this puts limitations on the content broadcasting channels can publish.

One advert that was banned due to the race relations act was a Chinese washing machine powder advert. It featured a white Chinese woman putting a black male in a washing machine and the putting the liquid in and when he comes out he is white. This was banned as it can be perceived that they are inferring that black people are dirty which is therefore racism and discrimination of a race.

Article 9 protects your right to freedom of thought, belief and religion
It includes the right to change your religion or beliefs at any time.
You also have the right to put your thoughts and beliefs into action. This could include your right to wear religious clothing, the right to talk about your beliefs or take part in religious worship. Public authorities cannot stop you practising your religion, without very good reason.

This trailer presents white Christians all as racists and hating anyone that isn't white. 
where as the trailer for the new deadpool portrays this in a positive light as it shows people from different ethnicity's working together to defeat enemies. Copyright law ensures that creators of original works can profit from their creations, by protecting them against infringement by people who may use their work without their permission. Putting a copyright registration on your content allows a copyright holder to sue an infringer in federal court this is not an option that is available to copyright holders that have not registered this is a good advantage of the copyright law. 
A disadvantage of copyright law is that smaller creators may struggle to get content that isn't copyrighted and content that is copyrighted smaller companys  would have buy and may not have the funding to do this. Overall the copyright law benefits conglomerate media outlets for example Sky and large news papers like The Sun. An example of when the copyright law has to be enforced is when a creator uses another persons content on the media outlet youtube. For example if a creator uses and artists music for their own monetary gain and the use doesn't come under the fair use law the artists can put a claim on the video and receive all the money from the other creator.

Privacy Law
Everybody has the right to privacy and a private life. However people in the public eye for example celebrities may be targeted by media outlets as they are public interest and will get their magazines/newspapers seen more therefore gaining more money. Within Tv shows the producers have to be mindful of people privacy for example news broadcasting shows like Sky News for example if they are reporting on a private matter for example an affair.
