The textbook highlighted on (page 235) that early maturing girls may gravitate toward friendships with older girls and boys, so they tend to participate in adult activities. This information reminds me of the marriage of underage girls in my country and in the Middle East in general, where once a girl reaches puberty, her parents force her to marry and start a family, even if she is 10 years old (the age at which she should enjoy her childhood, playing and going to school), girls are forced to start a family and take care of children simply because they matured early.

As mother of two girls, I have a great fear of adolescence and how I will deal with my daughter at this stage. Chapter 9 provides a lot of information about adolescence and discusses many valuable theories. The best information I found is about the thriving teenager on the page

263. While reading the passage I thought about my daughters' success and how I can help them be positive and happy in their lives. So I understand that Teens need a network of people they can rely on, including family members, friends, mentors and teachers. These relationships provide a sense of belonging, security, and comfort, allowing adolescents to express themselves freely and seek guidance when needed to navigate the complexities of adolescence.

I love working with kids, I enjoy teaching them and helping them grow. Here a great as GSRP preschool teacher and I love my job. the GSRP program helps children learn more about their world, and build their character and also can spark a lifelong love of learning. I work with my children to prepare them for kindergarten and help them learn all the basics they need to be ready for school.

I see this period ideal because it is the period in which adolescents focus on rethink of theirs plans and careers, during this period, emerging adults focus on themselves by developing their knowledge, skills, and self-understanding they will need as adults (textbook, 288).

Question 7: Two Interesting Ideas

1- Children reach milestones in how they play, learn, speak, act and move; all children develop at their own pace. Chapter Five shed light on physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development during early childhood ages(from 3 to 6 years). I found the information in Chapter 5 interesting because it helped me understand my preschool students, meet their needs, and how to work with them.

2- Piaget's theories are very interesting for me because it emphasizes that independent exploration and discovery were important at all stages of cognitive development to enable children to learn in line with their current developmental understanding.

The course was very informative and fun, and I learned a lot about how children develop from the embryonic stage to adulthood. The class was very interesting and what I liked most was the discussion board and PowerPoint presentation of the classes. The only thing I didn't like was the exams time because the questions needed concentration and 50 minutes was short to answer 50 or 60 questions. I want to thank Dr. Buchanan because she was so understanding and kind, and I appreciate her efforts to make our course a success.
