Chief Tecumseh is killed at Movoriantown, outnumbered 3 to 1 by American soldiers. His body is scalped and his skin is kept as souvenirs. This shows how the Americans were oppressing the Native Americans, by using fear as a tactic.

By 1876 most of the land had been claimed by miners. This shows how the Sioux people were oppressed by having the treaty completely ignored.
